Books. Review of the book «Solaris»
I will start my first attempt to review the book with the book of Stanislav Lemma “Solaris”. I know, I chose a difficult book for the first review, but it so happened that I recently read this book and decided to make reviews on it.
Events take place on the fictional planet Solaris, which flaunts in the name of the book. Solaris is a unique planet in a system of two stars. In such systems, the planet cannot have life, due to a regular and cardinal change in temperature on the planet. Life does not have time to get out of the primary broth. She either evaporates or freezes to death. But so -so -so. She manages to change the orbit path, for the sake of maintaining her temperature regime. This anomaly is interested in scientists from the Earth. But after a hundred years of research and hundreds of victims, scientists cannot clearly say what Solaris is. Only theories, hypotheses and fantasies, which is a whole collection. One of the intriguing and rather plausible theory is that the whole planet is, namely the ocean, as a whole brain of such a huge creature. But nothing goes beyond the theory. Therefore, the scientific community thinks to stop financing the research of the planet and close research. To be convinced of this, psychologist Kelvin Chris is sent to Solaris. Also determine the condition of the base and the remaining researchers for one. They do not meet him with salt and bread, and the station itself is not ready for new guests. On the contrary, he will be inexplicable and the emergence of new people at the station, which should not be.

I am not going to spoil the https://magicwincasino.co.uk/ plot of the book in this review, but I would even become, then this almost did not damage the impression of the book. This book is not about a famously twisted plot and unexpected turns. She is rather philosophical, for thought at leisure, in half with a mug of tea than just a fascinating reading. If we talk about the comfort of reading the book, then it was sometimes difficult for me to read. Namely, because of the onset of terminology in the description of the planet, the magnitude and complexity of some paragraphs and the presence of some incredited in the dialogs. I will not say that immutability is bad, on the contrary, it can be a charm, let the reader speculate everything for himself. But at some points I bowed and re -read fragments several times to understand what the author was trying to say to me.
What thoughts does Solaris give for thought, then here each has its own. I realized that we do not love the person of himself as such. Not all of its essence and matter, but only the memory of him. His projection and image created in our minds and stored in memory. When we see and hear a loved one, we do not perceive him entirely, but only the part that give our feelings and receptors, and then these signals were processed with the brain. As a result, we are closed in our minds and perception, for what I described above is applicable to everything. To any knowledge. We can evaluate and operate in our minds only projections of things. Here you can go sharply to Castaneda, but this blog is not about him.
As for the explanation of the behavior of the planet, this is only an attempt to understand those small creatures that have landed on you. And the ways that are available to the planet, by copying what these small bees bring. So it is with animals. We are saying something to each other, do something and try to understand what he had in mind.
These thoughts arose from me after reading the «Solaris». Maybe this is what Lemm tried to tell me, maybe this is only part of what is in the book. Or maybe you will say that I am a fool and this book is generally about another and about it. I’m not joking. Sweep down and write what I’m wrong.Who can advise this book? Definitely not everyone. If you love interesting and action -packed stories with a deep Laura, and in principle lightly faint, then you will not find it here. If you are drawn to philosophy in a science fantastic setting, then you can look here.
If we compare the book with the adaptation of Andrei Tarkovsky in 1972 (I will take bread from dog handlers.) this accurate and high -quality film adaptation, with their artistic additions, which better reveal the book. A little backstory of the protagonist was added to the film, at the beginning of the film, and dialogue, with a new character at the end of the film. It is also worth noting that the characters of the film communicate more freely with the guests of the station. The film did not include a description of the planet and theory related to it. The absence of this part of the book does not harm the film at all and the meaning of the book in the film adaptation is not lost.
Here is such a succession. I’m going to continue to make reviews and ask you to write a proposal to the comment on the next book. Thank you for your attention.
